I'm planning to paint my kitchen when it gets warmer, it really needs to be freshened up in there. I went to look at paint colors last weekend and while I was looking my husband came over asking what I was doing. I told him I was trying to pick a paint for the kitchen and he has the nerve to ask why I would want pink. lol. Oh, but I do want a pink kitchen so bad.

What I can't decide is between a powder pink, ointment pink or a carnation ( think crayola) pink. Any suggestions?

I think ointment pink would make me feel sick around food. I think a very soft, pale pink would be pretty - a creamy pale pink. Like this one:

I am doing the master bedroom and bath in pink (Fluffy Pink Dutch Boy paints) - much to hubby's dismay. He asked me not to tell any of his friends the name of the color....heehee

I'm doing the main living areas (kitchen, living room, hallway - open floor plan) in natural colors. The walls will be white with the exception of one wall in the kitchen....it will be Rumbling Rapids - kinda blue/gray, very muted & serene.

I'll post pictures as we complete projects on my blog.

Karla, That is a really pretty color. I may have something like that in my swatches, have to look.

Tracy, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out, I love the name of that paint.

Oh, see now I would love a pink kitchen! Don't go the pepto bismol route though thats to ickish for around foods for me personally. I would go more of a carnation pink - paler, pretty. Add some green accents like clear green glass (or blue! Blue glass would be nice too) containers filled with your sugars etc.

So pretty!
