| Michelle - curious minds want to know. What is this wonder vacuum you go on about? LOL
I am curious - has anyone ever used a Miele? |

| Karla - my Mum has a Miele vacuum cleaner (well two I think, one upstairs, one dowstairs) and as far as I know she is very pleased with them, and she has two dogs with long hair. She used to have trouble sourcing the bags for it though, as they are non-standard size or something.
My Dad is also an avid subscriber to 'Which?' magazine and would NEVER buy anything without consulting his 'bible' first, so I assume they came highly researched and recommended!
I have an upright Dyson (this is my second) and I do like it (although they don't come very highly recommended by 'Which?' - Dad says so!) but there are things about it which niggle me. But then each model is still 'patent pending' - Mr Dyson is sort of using us as guinnea pigs with each model being a tweak on the last.... I have two cats, and there are two of us girls with long hair (have to regularly cut the small hairy 'rodent' from around the brushes...) and wooden floors downstairs, carpet upstairs. I think the suction is very good, and don't have to empty it all that much, and you can adjust brushes etc for the type of floor. I have the hepa filter model for allergy sufferers too (apparently). Can't really complain too much about it - does the job very well in my opinion. Just wish it had a retractable cord - I get myself in a tangle every time! |

| I love organizing, vacuuming, folding the laundry (larger bits though not the socks), washing windows and mirrors etc.
I really hate putting the laundry away though! |

| Have you seen the really new Dyson, looks very weird, but curious. I am at the point where I'm sick of the no bag vacuums. It can't be all that healthy either dumping that, and I do my best to put the container completely in a bag to dump it, it is just messy, I think. I'm ready to go back to bags. I'm still thinking on it. I like to organize a bad situation, clutterwise. One of my friends, she is really nice, so I won't insist with her, it is a real test to not insist she let me straighten her mess. I have casually mentioned it, and her husband was thrilled also that I was there, he thought I'd go through it and it would be all done. You can't do that with some because it is more than the mess, it is a head thing. She's gradually making her way through it but, I could have done it in a non rushed 2 days. |

| | About 2 or so years ago, I went on strike...my own personal one....I decided I wasn't making my bed any longer...only when I change the sheets or if I have company over. I decided since it is upstairs, and I don't have a husband, kids are gone,I don't have to set an example, I don't have to...so i don't. Shameful isn't it |

| Barb....you rock! I think it's great to do what makes you happy and doesn't stress you out. An unmade bed would be an open invitation/temptation calling to me to jump in....boy, oh boy, that would fit in with my lazybone days wonderfully well! (lol)

| | I have to admit Barbara, that when I fling my duvet etc back in the morning and open all the windows to give it all a good airing, I often come upstairs hours later to find that those naughty bed-making fairies haven't been and made the bed...... |

| Having our bed all made up nicely is one of my retirement goals. As we have a newsagents business and hubby has an afternoon nap most days it never seems to be made up for long.
I make it up when I get up in the morning, he undoes it when he has his nap and oftentimes it only gets re-made later on in the evening when one of us goes in there and realizes it is unmade again.
I'd love to have our bedroom looking inviting but tidy and pretty too.
We only use a duvet so making the bed isn't a problem...it is just the idea of lovely pillows etc. that appeals to me.

| I love to vacuum. I'll ignore other chores around the house just to vacuum. Ah, but I hate doing dishes and putting my laundry away. Blech. _________________ "We had had the pleasure of bird song, of silver rain on greening fields, of storm among the trees, of blossoming meadows, and of the converse of whispering leaves. | Dear Ouissi....thanks so much for the visit to my blog! I was totally flattered and thrilled.
I'd love to trade chores sometime. That's exactly what I need. A next-door-neighbor-chum who likes the opposite jobs. _________________ "We had had the pleasure of bird song, of silver rain on greening fields, of storm among the trees, of blossoming meadows, and of the converse of whispering leaves.
