| The inevitable mini mountain of laundry is finally done. The last load went in this morning. Loads done yesterday are ironed and put away. The thing thats puzzling me is how the place seems to need its usual cleaning. The bathroom looked grubby (I've remedied that) and I'm dusting and vacuuming today too.
Now I did all this before we left last Saturday. No one was in the apartment while we were away, so I'm assuming the fairies had a wee party in our absent. That or I'm seeing things that aren't there. Every possibility of that.
This afternoon its cook a few dishes for the fridge and freezer. Thank goodness for the grocery delivery that's coming any time now. I've got next to nothing in the cupboards. There's a pot of chicken on the stove that will either become soup or a casserole.
The holiday was wonderful, but its nice to be home. Now if only I could transplant the flat out of the grimy Midlands to the Dorset coast! _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| Aaaah - that post fab holiday feeling! You'll soon feel all homely and cosy again once the holiday-sickness wears off!! There is something life affirming about being by the coast as well isn't there? I would live by the sea if I didn't panic irrationally about coastal erosion and rising sea levels/floods!!
Well done to you for getting so much done already! It is funny about the house needing cleaning again isn't it?? I always think that - although we do have pets that people pop in to attend to, so that would account for some of it. How lovely to think fairies just might have visited though??!! |

| You will soon feel all settled again in your nice clean house, especially with the aroma of homely foods floating around. I live quite close to the sea, infact it is only a 15 minute drive from where I live, we have Roker, Seaburn, Whitburn, South Shields and abit further away is Tyne Mouth and Whitley Bay, the closest to where I live is Roker, then the other stretch of beaches are only about 5 minutes along from each other. I have been brought up with the beaches, every summer my parents would take me quite afew times during the holidays, then there is the airshow at Seaburn which is on every July, and Ive been going since I was a child, and now Im married John and I still go every year, and when I was little, right up until I was about 12, Roker and seaburn used to have the promenade festooned in xmas lights, from november until the xmas period was over. I loved going to the beach with my mam and dad on freezing winter nights, and seeing all the pretty lights, the fun fair, all the fish and chip shops and to smell all the delicious smells of doughnuts, hot roasted chestnuts, fish and chips mingled with the fresh sea air, and biting cold breeze it was heaven. I still love going to the beach with my husband, but I guess because Ive been brought up with it , I dont appriciate it as much as I should. |

| Your very fortunate. The air is cleaner, people are less aggressive. In fact, I read a recent survey that showed more than half the people asked said they find being near open water destressing.
I despise living inland. On either side of the Atlantic. Oddly enough, my brother, who was raised on the coast too, isn't bothered either way. Must be my star sign. |

| | I just adore the ocean - or at least a large body of water. Unfortunately, I'm landlocked. I keep trying to convince DH to let us take a vacation to a beach and just hang out for a week. No plans, no grand scheme, just being still and letting the days pass by as they please, doing whatever happens to come up that day. |
