It's so great to have found this site! To introduce myself, I'm a stay at home mum to a gorgeous 16 month old boy whom I struggled for 3 years to get. Now some one finally calls me Mummy (or mama as he can manage right now!) I'm really enjoying escaping the business world for some time at home!

I love baking, crocheting, sewing and mastering my embroidery machine - something I've had for 18 months now and I'm still a wee bit flummoxed by! I'm slowly making my 1960's house into a gorgeous haven..full of patchwork throws and potted plants.

I've got a lovely patient husband who is great at working through the various to-do lists I present him with on an all too frequent basis

I'm in the UK too....living in Merseyside...near to Liverpool. Good to hear you're enjoying your 18 month old...hope you master your embroidery machine soon.

I'm not crafty at all but my good friend has a machine and has just embroidered a fleece blanket for me. It's one of my grandson's birthdays this Friday and he's crazy on giraffes....so that's what she has done for me. A giraffe and his name all nicely embroidered on an angle in the corner of the fleece. He'll have a constant reminder of his 7th birthday pressie from nana and grandpa.
