I adore the VTC.
I have two of http://www.victoriantradingco.com/store/catalogimages/11k/i6971.html
on my bathroom counter for Qtips and cotton balls. http://www.victoriantradingco.com/store/catalogimages/11k/i8075.html for mouthwash and I ordered http://www.victoriantradingco.com/store/catalogimages/19t/i6972.html so hubby can stop getting up 50 million times a night for a sip of water.

What beautiful items! I love that mouthwash decanter - how decadent, and much nicer than the bright plastic 'Aquafresh' bottles!!! What a shame they don't have a UK version. *sigh*

Lovely things! I've been looking for one of those water decanters. I need to clean things up in the bathroom and bedroom before I add some lovelies like that though. Decluttering is still going on.

Those are very pretty! I wonder if you might score similar finds by scouring the charity and second hand shops Sasha.

Sasha, you might like to try the shop called "Past Times" in the UK. I have seen similar items in their shops...and also for mail order there is The Cotswold Trading Company. I'll have a scout and see if they have any online shops. Often there are inserted leaflets in magazines and newspapers from these types of companies. I'll post again if I come up with anything more concrete for sourcing these kinds of similar items.

Hope that helps, Sasha. Karla, I'm much the same as you...no more "pretties" until the declutter is in full swing and nearing completion. I too like the water decanter.

Thanks Jacquie! I'll take a look. I do have a beautiful 'chinese/antique' style laquered jewellery chest from Past Times that my parents bought me a few years ago that takes pride of place in my bedroom and holds all my 'treasures' (mostly costume jewellery!). It is a lovely shop - we have one in Cambridge, and you've just given me a reminder to pop in and have a look, just for the loveliness, which I haven't done in ages!

I have never seen a beautiful decanter made especially for mouthwash though, with the little cup and everything - and at such good prices (assuming a direct dollar/pound calculation). I will keep my eyes open in the charity shops though as well - you never know!
