Lavender is great isn't it. I buy organic lavender essential oil for my aromatherapy practice and use around the house.

Keep in mind though, lavender works two ways. One as a soporific or relaxant, but too much of it acts as a stimulant! Most people don't know that.

I love essential oils and use tons of them for EVERYTHING ;-)

That's a really lovely website - thanks, I've bookmarked it for future inspiration!

Remember that lavender can trigger epileptic seizures in some people and is not safe round some pregnant women...

I always double-check all my oils if it's for someone who is not one hundred per cent bog-standard adult human! Children, pregnant women and anyone on medication... all need checking before you use oils round them...

Powerful things, ain't they?!

ooh yes, I have done aromatherapy workshops so I am pretty much up on being wary of essential oils. Plus I had a 'run-in' with rosemary oil a few years ago. Some fool massage therapist didn't ask me if I was allergic to anything.. I am allergic to rosemary in all its forms. Found out once when I was gardening.. anyhow, here she was massaging away, I was in a blissful stupor... one hour after the massage, I broke out in hives .. my body swelled up and was as red : as the Brocante background... sadly this all happened on a cruise and I spent most of the cruise in a benadryl daze.
so yes, be very careful with essential oils.!!
