| | PS: I have implemented the lamination process!! The meal planner is working beautifully, especially since I found lovely coloured white board pens, cheap as chips, in Ikea - including pink!!! Yippee! |

| Sasha - i'm so jealous of anyone that lives near an Ikea!! I absolutely love that store, but there isn't one closer than 3 hours away. probably best for my budget though.
I laminated my household cleaner recipe cards that I printed long ago from Alison's site. Another idea - if you don't have access to a laminator or you don't want that expense - you can use the heavy duty sheet protectors the same way - just make sure they are the smooth, shiny, heavy sheet protectors. You can use a dry erase marker or a wax pencil on them the same way as you do on laminate. I'm saying this from experience - so you know it works. |

| I don't exactly live near an Ikea Karla - they're all about an hour away, and as my husband would rather chew off his right arm than go (except he can be easily tempted by their meatballs and gravy in the cafe) it is a once in a blue moon occurance to go!
We went last weekend though, and for the first time it was actually a fun trip for us all! Instead of traipsing around moaning, my daughter discovered the delights of playing 'house' in the mock up kitchens!! It was great! We sat down at the dining table in one particularly lovely and cosy open plan kitchen/diner set up and pretended it was our own house, while my little girl rustled pots and pans like she was cooking us dinner and handing us glasses of 'wine'! We complimented her on her choice of decor/crockery and we all played like we were having dinner at her house! Goodness knows what the passing shoppers thought....
As most of the mock up 'rooms' were also decorated for Christmas, it was lovely - trouble was it took even longer to get round the store, stopping to play house in all the rooms we liked the look of - oh well!
Here in England Ikea now do mail order on some of their items - do you have that service where you are? Not that I'm encouraging spending though! And it's not available on all the lovely 'nick nacks' which is usually all I want to pick up. Hey ho. |

| | Some people would probably say the Nobel Prize, other may say ABBA, but I think Ikea may be the best thing Sweden has contributed to the world! What a great place to spend a day! |

| | I love Ikea! We furnished our first apartment together thanks to Ikea's great prices and home delivery! Browsing through their catalogue is great fun. |

| So far, and I just joined, and because I'm a year late according to the dates of the previous posts, ....I like this sight. I like having things in common with women all over. I haven't been a part of this long enough to know what I think it might need. I can think of one thing that might be helpful....a compilation of all of the links (from Alison and the other ladies) and their explanations in one area. Did someone already say this? Barbara |
