| Do you observe the day? I always get Kev a card and make sure there's a special dessert in the house. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| I observe the day - my husband rarely does. He says Valentine's Day is for dating people. My birthday is also really close to Valentine's Day so sometimes that complicates things. I've felt cheated for years. LOL I just didn't plan things well - a birthday close to Valentine's Day and an Anniversary the same week as Mother's Day. What was I thinking? LOL
I get my husband a gift every year even if he doesn't get me anything. I'm also doing a handmade card swap this year as part of one a blogger is dong - I think there are like 30 of us all together. |

| My birthday is right on top of Valentines day too Karla - the 16th!!! Spooky!
My husband and I always make a special effort to observe Valentines, and any anniversary or 'date' that means something to us. He works away quite a lot, so I think it means more for us to have these special times to do things together. I am very lucky, as he is very thoughtful and romantic - and very good at card and gift buying without being prompted at all! I don't know what we'll do this year yet, or for my birthday.
It's also my hubbie's 40th birthday this summer, so I feel a bit pre-occupied with thinking of something extra special to organise for that! |

| | We always get each other a nice card, and we have a special meal in the house, if we feel like it we may have a bottle of something, and snuggle up with all the candles lit for a romantic evening. |

| Well we'll have to send you an e-card Malin! We love you even if it's not in that sort of way lol.
We can't have flowers in our place because the cats constantly knock the vase over and cleaning up a vase full of water on a daily basis just loses the touch of flowers. So I just get a nice card, make a nice dinner, bake a nice cake and that's really about it for us as well. |

| | I can definitely relate to the cats and flowers - they either eats them or knocks them over. But somehow itīs me, that end up braking them. I canīt believe how many vases Iīve broken... |
