| December 6th is the Saint's feast day. Children all over Northern Europe will be anticipating the arrival of Father Christmas this evening. This is their day, with Christmas Day being more of a religious observation and time spent with family. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| | May I be a bit fussy? St Nicholaus isnīt celebrated in all of northern Europe - in Sweden most people havenīt even heard about it, and Dec 6th is just another day to count down to Christmas Eve. |

No, thats cool. I wasn't implying that all of Northern Europe observed the day. What do you call Father Christmas/Santa Claus in Sweden? _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| | We call him "Jultomten", "jul" meaning Cristmas and "tomten" is originally a folklore carachter, who took care of the animals on the farms, but who in the beginning of the 20th century became merged with the jolly red-dressed man we all know and love today. |
