| I was looking for a really easy recipe last night for a dessert. Had a craving for chocolate cookies, but didn't want to do the work. I searched through my recipe box and found this recipe that I'd written some time ago and never tried. These are fabulous! They end up being a chewy, almost fudgy cake-like cookie. Very easy, very cheap, very yummy.
Top Secret Cookies
1 boxed cake mix - flavor of your choice
(I had butter recipe chocolate on hand so that's what I used)
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup nuts, chocolate chips or whatever you'd like to add to your cookies
(I had cashews on hand so I chopped them up in the food processor)
Mix cake mix, eggs and oil. Mix well until no lumps and dough is smooth. Add nuts or chips (or both) . Place rounded teaspoons of dough onto a greased baking sheet (I simply put a sheet of nonstick aluminum foil down first and didn't need to spray the pan). Bake at 350 degrees until cookie is done (it took about 15 minutes in my oven).

| I've done this several times. My favorite is Lemon cookies with a powdered sugar icing...

| | Wow! My mom used to make these all the time! She would have bake-a-thon days where she would make all sorts of things. My favorite was chocolate cake mix with white chocolate chips and dried cherries. Sweet but with a bit of a bite from the cherries. |
