| | What do you all do for your "me" time to unwind from the craziness of the day? Any new ways to make yourself feel better when a day has been particularly horrid? |

| | Me time usually consists of nothing too earth shattering, just putting something comfy on, talking on the phone, or the computer, or a pedicure... |

| | My "me" time is usually either online, The sims 2 or a good book. |

| Rule no 1: No phone, pc or tv. No racket from outside sources at all. Quiet music is good.
An hour or so of ignoring everything and everyone but me with some tea or maybe a glass of wine, something to nibble and some reading material that doesn't require much effort about does it.
I find this is a good time to put a hair and face masque on too, maybe do my nails, top up my pedicure. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| Shower time does it for me! I'm pretty bad at actually pampering myself....I know how to sit and relax...but the special beauty treatments and things...well I've just never tried any.
I asked my daughter to dye my hair for me a few weeks ago and that has been a lovely thing to do...so I guess that is pampering in a way.
I like quiet music...oh and some time at the seaside where it is tranquil and quiet....perfection!

| | I love having a long hot soak in a bubble bath, sometimes with candles, getting myself scrumptiously clean, drying on a warm fluffy towel and putting fresh, clean jimjams on. Then I like to snuggle under the blanket on the sofa and read or watch a good dvd while drinking aromatic coffee, or chocolate horlicks (if it is night), and eating delicious biscuits or chocolate, wonderful. |

| | For me, I only feel an 'aagh' when I finally get to sit down quietly at the end of a day, with either a cup of tea or glass of wine/gin and tonic, something to nibble and a good magazine in which to absorb myself (requires slightly less concentration and silence to enjoy than a book... I can't get the house completely devoid of people ever!). I can sometimes get this 'me' time with the Sunday papers at some stage on a Sunday too... basically it is being able to switch off from the family and their demands and having to think too much about anything for just a short while. |

| | My favorite thing to do, and it's been ages since I've done it, is to make a proper pot of tea, fix myself a snack or two, load up my tea tray and take it to bed where I sit there with stacks of magazines and read while wearing my comfy jammies and robe. I also keep the bedroom door closed so no one bothers me. |

| Karla....I think what you wrote is just the prescription for your "out of sorts" kind of mood you posted about.
Come on now there girl....jammies, magazines, tray of tea and biccies (or whatever takes your fancy)....and a closed door so there are no interruptions.
There you go....now....mission accomplished...doesn't that feel so much better? Karla is chilling and in fine fettle. (well that's how I see it anyhow...lol).
Yep, "you" time....always needed.
