...do you know that if the EU has its way cadburys and other British chocolate will have to call itself "chocolate flavoured candy"?? Our chocolate falls well short of what chocolate should be...hardly any cocoa butter or solids in a bar of dairy milk.... |
The EU needs to naff off and mind its own business. Honestly, I don't know how anyone tolerates having some third party dictating the agenda like that. And with such ludicrous pronouncements. Sovereingty is something a nation should never ever sign away. However, we won't get into a debate about that nest of hornets. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| I think not either..... but it goes to show what I was saying about the chocolate we think of as chocolate having lots of other nasties making the actual 'chocolate' part negligable. I agree with Melanie about the Galaxy though! If I were to fancy a bar of milk choc, that is what I would have - it's so creamy and meltingly smooth!
I guess I am very lucky not having a particularly sweet tooth. If I crave anything it is more likely to be a curry, or crisps, or cheese or, as at the moment for some strange reason, sugar snap peas!! I can't stop eating them. I think it's the crunch - just eat them like sweets straight out of the bag! And no, before any of you wonder, my 'cravings' are not unusual or a symptom of anything impending! I have always had weird food fads, even as a child, and crave all sorts of weird and wonderful foods all the time! I went through a fried egg on bread and butter smothered with vinegar phase when I was about 4 - ate it every day for about two weeks! I can remember the feeling of really craving it too (how did I even come up with that? More to the point, why did my mother give it to me????). I used to make salad cream and mint sauce sandwiches, or baked bean and curry paste sandwiches too! Sprinkling lashings of white pepper into a bag of ready salted crisps was also a bit of a phase..... how have I got this far without a stomach ulcer???!! Goodness knows! I eat a lot more 'normally' these days. |

| I know Melanie, I know - gross is the word! I don't know about gravy on fish.... I'd consider it!
My only real food 'shame' of late is a bowl of instant curry flavour noodles smothered in a small tin of Homepride curry sauce! Sometimes, on the very odd occasion, it just hits the spot...... If I'm feeling a little more 'cheffy' (lol) I might add some quartered hard boiled eggs to the curry sauce...... |
