| I have a large collection of these types of books.
My favorites are:
Home Comforts by Cheryl Mendelson Laundry by Cheryl Mendelson Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook
I also love all of Emilie Barnes books as well. She is a Christian writer and has several books about keeping your home and organizing and cleaning.
I guess in the category of self-help I love Alexandra Stoddard's books, although I'm not sure if they entirely fit in that category.
I have several books on simplicity too.
I would be happy to catalogue my books and send you the entire list. I have been needed to do that for along time anyway. |

| That would be so wonderful if you can do that. I have such a terrible library here in town so I would have to purchase whatever I wanted to read online. I would much prefer to have someones opinions on the books first :)
Thanks! |

| I read the Daybook of Comfort and Joy (Simple Abundance) and Karla (Karlanee on the forums) was kind enough to send me the gift of Sarah Ban Breathnach's book "Moving On" which I have held onto until I am better able to read it. With my continuing mental health problems I am unable to take it up just now.
At the moment I am reading a James Herriott book simply called "Cat Stories" (it's indulging my desire for all things "cat" as we no longer have a family cat and I'm missing that experience). I bought that one second hand in a charity shop last week.
I also purchased, but haven't read yet books by Billy Hopkins (an English writer) telling stories of his childhood and his mother's life in England. These were charity shop finds and so weren't too expensive.
I mostly buy my books at charity shops if they are in good condition....I've ordered a few from Amazon over the years but have ony recently begun to read again. Six years of depression and a very foggy head have meant reading has been very much sidelined...I am happy to slowly begin to take back my lfe, which includes reading.
I'd love to read some of the household books and the simplicity books you mention...cost and time constraints (and brain memory retention too!) permitting. Keep the suggestions coming.

| There is also a website called "Bookins" that you can put up books to trade and you get points when your books are traded. All you have to pay is shipping which is $4.00 no matter what book it is. I have found several books including Simple Abundance that I have really enjoyed. Here is the link: http://www.bookins.com |

| If you want a sort of encyclopedia of homemaking, minus recipes, I can highly recommend "Home Comforts" by Cheryl Mendelson. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| | I realized I never did catalogue my books. I will try and work on that this weekend. |
