I'm looking for good book recommendations - things with lots of coziness written in, descriptions of domesticity woven throughout, a bit of vintage charm if you will. Cottagey.

I see lots of recommendations on blogs and either forget to write them down or can't find them at the library. Anything you love that just screams the Brocante way of life? Can be either fiction or non-fiction.

If you havenīt tried Victoria Clayton, you have to! Iīve heard the genre mentioned as "AGA-lit", itīs all about old English mansions, cleaning and makeover and old-fashioned romance. I love them - any book that involves cobwebs turning into sparkles is right down my alley!

Oh Malin - I've never heard of her but that sounds like EXACTLY what I'm looking for! Thanks - I'm writing that down.

I was interested in an author a friend of mine recommended named D.E. Stevenson. Anyone read her books?

Iīve read "Out of love" and "Runnig wild" and I liked them both. They are the only ones at my library, if I remember, Iīll keep my eyes open for the other ones as paperback at the bookstore.

Holly - oh I'm so glad to hear that! I'm off to the library website to put a few things on reserve! I'm so excited about having a few cozy books to read during my new morning routine that starts next week. I'm planning to "gentle myself into the morning" as one of the puttery treats challenge posts said. I'm going to start my day with a cup of tea or capuccino, some toast and fruit or other lovely food everyday and spend a few minutes reading a lovely puttery book before starting my day's work at the computer and housework.

Karla, That sounds like a wonderful idea. My favorite of her books is called Celia's House.

Malin, I'm going to get a couple of her books to read, I've never read them before and I've been looking for something cosy for those bleak days of winter after the holidays are over.

Iīve read the two first "Little Lady Agency" books (by Hester Browne), and they are really nice, especially the first one.

I recently found this author and can't wait to read the book! The website gives a nice long excerpt and makes you think its based on actual events, rather than being a work of fiction.
