Does anyone know how to change one's email address for the account here at the forums? It's the only area of the profile that non-editable.

I no longer use my yahoo.com address regularly.

I might have to email Alison privately.

Your right. You can't change it on the profile. I'd apply to Alison for help with that too.

Thanks Ali. I'm glad for your comment on my blog or I'd have not known I was still getting email there. I'd forgotten all about it. I had 974 emails! Thankfully most were just "delete all" types. LOL

Barbara - Popular? Perhaps. But somehow the fact that only about 4 of those were from "real" people, it somehow loses it's glamour. LOL

BTW, I tried to download the brocante toolbar and I got this funny green block type of toolbar on the whole page, what's up with that? I just wanted the regular one on the very top of the page, it was nice...if anyone has any idea let me know or the necessary info to get to it...I've just about had it with computers.

I had downloaded the toolbar several times. Love how pretty it makes my browser but boy did it slow down my computer. Sad.

I had the same problem when I downloaded the toolbar and ended up taking it off. Computer was just too slow...that was with Firefox.

Hmm never noticed it slowing my computer down, just figured it was all the othe junk on my computer I probably needed to dump.

I was desperate yesterday and searched for geeks online. I did an indepth search and rechecked credentials and such and found one. I can't believe someone is helping me from France and Germany. I doubled checked the moderators info and it checked out, I haven't tried the solution yet to fixing my computer because I want someone else here when I go through the steps. Since it all looks greek to me I needed my own back up. This kind of work is exhausting who would think?

I still want info on the toolbar but will wait till my computer is healthy....

Oh, I unchecked, rechecked, all that stuff. I used it on both Firefox at one time and then another time did it on Safari too. I've also used it on both a PC and a Mac. Same result every time. Just slowed the entire computer, and especially the internet down very very slowly. When I deleted it and uninstalled, it went right back to performing as normal.

That's interesting Karla...maybe I won't bother if my computer is ever back to healthy...I've also asked all the people that I know that forward all kinds of "crap" not to while it is sick...I just hope they still don't after it is better.
