What a lovely mission Tracy! I'm trying to decide if I want to go to the trouble of putting any plants or flowers in. It has been years since I've done anything with the yard. I intend to every year and it never happens, other than the regular mowing and weed-eating. We had a lady do pre-emergent weed spraying this year so I'm hoping the yard will look a bit better.

Another lady in our church is having a gardening class at her house on April 26, at my request. She's taken master gardening classes and is an avid gardener of native Oklahoma flowers and plants. So, I'm sort of stalling until her class to do anything. Hopefully I'll come away with some instruction and inspiration!

Yes, the garden interest is something I plan to do very soon. We have a big weed patch (brambles and old, established bushes of one kind or another, no grass, lots of moss....I think you get the picture!).

At the moment our back garden is not easily accessible due to the extra iron gates etc. on the doors (for shop security). When we retire and live above our shop we will improve access from the accommodation part of our property and then....well...watch this space! This year I will be doing a lot of cutting back, serious weeding and planning for our future recreational space/garden. It's all in my head at the moment and soon I will begin to put it on paper so I have a plan!

Happy gardening ladies. I believe, from a good friend of mine, that gardening is very soothing and gives a great sense of accomplishment and awareness of nature. I certainly can live with that! (lol)

Well I got everything planted except the creeping red sedum and caladiums. Gardening is work! I'm hoping to get those last two planted today. The weather is supposed to be nice so there is no reason I can't get it done.
