| Don't remind about no. 5. Its making me wince, seeing how much has to go out this month. Thank goodness we're at the end of the big heating and electric bills for another season!
I've dusted, vac'd, aired, gone for supplies and had lunch. Got some cooking to do this afternoon, so I better get off here and get to it. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| I've worked this morning in our shop (4.5 hours) and will work again this evening for 2 hours before we close.
I've hoovered, dusted, unloaded the dishwasher and cleared the kitchen, been online a little bit and unexpectedly entertained our 4 yr. old grandaughter after nursery this morning while her mom and stepdad went to a Homebirth group at the local hospital.
I'll make dinner this when we close the shop and likely do a bit of ironing after that....then....it's r-e-l-a-x time for the evening.

I don't doubt it! LOL! What sort of work do you do there Barbara, besides keeping them in muffins? _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| I fill in as their receptionist and this time I'm updating their mailing list. I fill in jobs they don't have time to do. They are so grateful to have someone come in when they need something because they don't have to retrain. I cannot believe how nice they are to work for after dealing with a few people in my last job...Very unpleasant. |

| | It really is such a blessing to do a job that you really enjoy and feel appreciated in. And I bet the baking keeps them sweet! (no pun intended lol!). |

| I think so, the vice president of the company said to me the other day, When I see you I think of desserts. I love it. My first week of temping there I decided to bring in chocolate chip cookies, I figured if I messed up in any way it would be smoothed over by the cookies...isn't that pathetic but smart. Lol....I was asked to do their month birthday cakes for the employees. So its great and I can charge what I feel I am worth accordingly of course. |

Lucky you! Its very difficult to find decent part time work. I'd love to be able to bag a day or two a week in a situation like that. I've had two part time positions since moving here and both were awful.
I worked as a medical secretary for many years before retraining as a holistic therapist. The therapy work, though I absolutely love it, doesn't generate enough to cover the cost of supplies. I think its just the part of the country we're in. There's so much unemployment, my services are a luxury when ppl are having a hard time keeping a roof over their heads. So something part time like you have would be ideal.
Having said all that, I'm mindful how fortunate I am to have the luxury of not having to work full time any more. The part time income was a necessity before, but now it would simply be a welcome extra. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |
