My own room.

In our house which we have recently moved into there is a tiny little spare room upstairs which at the minute is full of junk which needs to go in the loft, so this room, I plan to make into my own speacial room. John and I have our bedroom with our big king size wrought iron bed, and our antique bedroom furniture, and John has a huge room which he uses as his home studio, so in their he has all his lights, backdrops ect.., and the little room I am going to make completely my own. I plan to get my very own, custom made dressing table back off my mam (I deigned the dressing table, and my dad had it made for me, it has 7 drawers on the base, 3 going up each side and one long thin one across the top, it is kidney shaped, and has 3 beautiful mirrors with tiny drawers underneath sitting on the top. The reason my mam has it as the place john and I lived in before was too small for it, so my mam kept it until we got a bigger house) Im thinking about painting my dressing able white, as the perfume and everything which was sitting on it has took some of the varnish off it. I havnt decided yet what colour I want the bedroom painting, I think maybe a very light shade of pink, I will hang pretty floral curtains at the window, have the walls covered in vintage photos, maybe have afew of my old books in their insted of in the book cupboard, I plan on getting my beautiful wooden antique dolls pram, cradle and swing back off my mam, along with my china dolls ( again, she has been storing them for me) and displaying them in the room, Im going to get a beautiful embroidered vintage table runner to drape across my dressing table and use my old wicker chair to sit on while at my dressing table. I shall display all my pretty cosmetics and perfumes on the dressing table, and have the room filled with candles.
When it is complete it will be a dream room, cant wait.

Sounds beautiful! I would love a proper dressing table and chair. Please do post a photo of your room when its ready!

I most certainly will Ali, dont know how long it will take me to get it sorted, but it will keep me busy.
