| But I just cannot stand this flat at the moment!! it is too sparten, too ikea (not my furniture...) and too astere!!
I want to put pillows, cushions, lace and flowers everywhere...
I want to hang pictures (no pictures in the whole flat...not even my vintage mirrors or Audrey Hepburn original oil painting), put up a memory wall of family photos framed in white painted old gilt frames, buy rugs, search charity shops for mismatching old plates and glasses and cakestands, line shelves with crochet, put my beautiful lamps somewhere other than in my wardrobe (which is beautiful treasure trove, but is behind plain new wood laminate doors), buy bundles of lacey silk underwear i could not fit into but will...
I am tired of plain white crockery and modern silver cutlery!!
anyway i apologise!! Rant over...

| Ouissi.....your ideal plans for your flat/home sound divine. I would encourage you to use those ideas to put your mark on your home.
It could be that you haven't done this already because in the long term you don't envision making the flat "home"? If your partner agrees with your decorating ideas (or even if he doesn't completely understand your "womanly" ways...lol...been there myself!!) I'd say go for it.
Your days of having this time to dream and indulge and make your flat homely are fast running out....and it is nesting! Oh and I absolutely love your wardrobes....I've shown my hubby the photos several times.....lol. I take it they are Ikea ones? They look exactly like what I dream of having in our bedroom one day...at the moment all we have are some very short and cramped freestanding wardrobes which don't really meet our needs!

I've done that already!!! I've been home since Christmas full time and we live in a tiny flat!!
Now I just want it to feel like my mum's I think
