| | Just curious, but does anyone collect dolls? I don't but a friend of mine has a large collection she started about 15 years ago, and they are in top notch condition in the boxes. She is thinking of selling them but I'm not convinced ebay is the way to go with them. I'm looking for other avenues for her. I decided for the heck of it to ask anyway if anyone does collect them. If so, I'll get a list of the names. |

| I used to when I was younger, I have quite afew china dolls (my mam has them in storage in hers, I keep meaning to get them back). My fave doll was the tiny tears doll, my dear grandad bought her for me when I was very young and I wont part with her for the world. I had a drawer full of beautiful clothes for her which I bought each week from a toy shop with my pocket money. Afew years after my grandad bought me tiny tears he bought me a beautiful navy blue, twin hooded silver cross dolls pram, and I was so proud when I wheeled tiny tears and another doll around in that, I had some beautiful things which my grandad bought me, he bought me an antique looking wooden crib for her, and a little antique dolls swing, which I will never part with. I dont collect dolls any more though. |

| My mother used to collect dolls in the costumes of different countries. She had quite a few. Unfortunately, like so much of my parents things, I have no idea what's happened to them.
If someone is looking to sell collectables, you generally get better prices if the item is in its original packaging. _________________ Bloomin' Lovely Blog Pumpkins on the Vine |

| Oh yes I know, Her packaging is like new, I'm sure she hasn't taken them out of the box since she bought some of them. It was mostly an investment type of collecting. Melanie yours sound wonderful, the pram and all. How nice. |

| Yeah, they were lovely, but I had to sell the pram, as we were living in a flat before we moved in here, and my mam was looking after the pram in her house, but then she sold her house and moved in a flat and had no room for it, so I had to sell it, but at least it would of made some little girl happy. I would never sell my dolls and the crib, swing ect.... I used to have an original 1960's sindy house, with all the 1960's furniture and 1960's sindy dolls, I had that for years, and my friends and I used to love playing with it, but I had to sell that aswell, and it went for a pretty penny with it all been original 1960's. |
