| My sweet little cockapoo Miss Maggie Boo Hoo is making me nuts! She is let out all of the time. She is walked whenever we are able to do so and yet, since moving into this house, she piddles on the carpet in the living room! She has never done this before and I can only assume that she does so because there may have been another dog living here at some point who did it and she smells him and so does the same.
I always clean the spot but there is a lingering smell, not like cat pee thank goodness but just a lingering not so fresh odor in my living room. I don't know what in the world I am going to do to get it out?!? I want my living room to smell as fresh as the rest of my home!
Help!!!! |

| First, I love the name of your dog..I'm sure there is a story behind it...as far as the smell is concerned...I've tried vinegar when it happened to me a long time ago and other rememdies that escape me, if I think of anymore I'll let ya know. I do know that a schedule is best for the dog in a new home because they are still adjusting.. |

| | I have offered similar advice somewhere here before to tackle cat urine, but will do so again here as I cannot recommend it highly enough. There is a product called 'Urine-off' and it comes in cat AND dog varieties, and is the best thing since sliced bread. You can get it on the internet - try a search for the name, I do hope it is available in the US. Long story, but I had to get rid of the smell of cat urine from the back seat of my car - can you imagine, confined space, hot day??!! Awful, and I tried EVERYTHING to no avail. This stuff TOTALLY eliminated the stains and smells, never to return. Amazing! |

| | I've heard somewhere before that bi carb soda neutralizes the smell, so try a sprinkling of that, leave it for afew hours, then hoover off. |
