| Raining again! Our friend got sent home from hospital yesterday right at the time we were leaving from visiting him. He was told to go back in this morning, which he did, and he sent a text saying he has been sent home for the weekend and has to go back in on Monday. Now the doctors are saying he has an abscess on his pancreas, and the only doctor who can operate on him is on holiday until Monday, so lets hope it does not burst before his op! His wife is in hospital today getting an operation on her wrist, but she wont be staying in, she will be allowed home as soon as she comes round, bless, their never away from the hospital. We did alot of walking yesterday, we walked with Foxy and Scrappy to Johns parents which takes between 30-45 minutes, we left the dogs there, walked to the hospital (15-20 mins), walked to the local shopping centre then back to Johns parents (20 mins), collected the doggies and walked back home. Foxy and Scrappy were pulling all the way there and all the way back, result, my legs are killing today. I lead Foxy and John had Scrappy. When we got home we made a big dinner for us and my mam coming round, chicken for my mam, belly pork for John and cabbage, broccoli, mashed turnip, mashed tattie, sweetcorn and gravy, it was a lovely dinner but I was so tired by the time it was served. John did the washing up and I did the drying and putting away. My mam stayed until 9.00pm, and when she left John and I watched another episode of the triangle.
Today, we have to go to Johns parents to pick up something, come home, my dad is calling in and then we are at the camera club tonight. Roll on tomorrow when we are free and there is nothing to do.
Have a good day ladies, take care all. |

| Whew....sounds like a nice and busy day you had yesterday. I wish I could do walking like I used to, but my knee is the problem. Oh well, at least I can get around anyway. I'm staying in today with the exception of going to the store for a couple of needs. I have a number of things to do and I've been running most of the week. Leaving for Georgia on Sunday morning now, my friend that was to go with me is sick, she has Lupus and has a flair up. Her insides are inflamed from top to bottom and she cannot eat. The only thing that gives her relief is aloe vera juice. Doesn't sound very tasty and she says it isn't but it helps. You can hear the exhaustion in her voice and I feel bad for her but she's been through this before, at least now she knows what to do about it. Not looking forward to the long drive solo but I have no choice. I know that doesn't sound so exciting but it's okay. Mel, I missed AGT last Tuesday so I don't have any links for you as yet, and I may miss it this coming week too as I work until 7 every evening and it starts at 8 so unless I can zoom through my closings it won't happen. I'll have to check youtube... Enough endless jabbering, have a lovely Friday all. |

| I hope you have a nice trip on Sunday Barb and I hope your friend is feeling better soon. Dont worry about missing AGT, I can look on youtube and see the acts. Have a nice evening, we are off to the camera club soon, I wish we could just stay in tonight as I am so tired, but we have to go, as we are needed there, boo hoo! |

| Wow a lot going on with your friends Melanie! I hope things turn around for them soon! It's not easy trying to take care of things with one wrist out of commission! My husband broke his last month trying to save the car (long silly story) so I know how hard it is to do anything one handed taking plus taking care of someone else! Sounds like you had a nice walk! I wish places were closer to walk to here. Can't get around without a car in L.A. Barb I hope your friend feels better soon. Have a good trip to Georgia. Must be hot and humid there. I'd love to visit Savannah one day--it looks beautiful there. Well I think I will have to start doing my grocery shopping at night after my husband gets home. My two year old refused to sit in the cart. He insisted he wanted to ride in the basket instead of the seat. Then didn't want to sit in his car seat. *sigh* the terrible twos have set in full swing... Well at least the dog stopped smelling skunky. |
