do any of you keep a Gratitude journal? I do try each night to say thankyou for five things that have made me feel blessed and grateful during that day.. most times I don't write them down and sometimes, i don't even make five.... On Sundays, I have decided to write a few down from the past week, into my Book of Shadows - my soul journal, a book, where I write all my hopes, dreams and wishes, along with spells and potions, rituals and remedies.. it is becoming a journey of my life... I do one a year.it is also a variation of the Illustrated discovery journal that Sarah talks of in simple abundance... so, I thought maybe we could start telling each other what we are grateful for....

I don't ....but I have said my gratefulnesssss since my mother passed in Feb. ...it brings you to yourself when both parents are gone and gratefulness rises to the surface. I'm game... That's some of the reason I started the blogs for my parents. It is also a wonderful grieving tool http://gloriafrompeoria.wordpress.com http://bustersdaughter.wordpress.com

Barbara - last year, I used my blog to grieve over my best friend who died suddenly. She lived in the UK, we had never met but were soul sisters, true kindred spirits.. and we had planned on meeting next year when I travel over to trace my family tree. So yes, blogging is a wonderful tool to grieve with... my blog is my soul journey. I actually enjoy being really focused each day on things I can be grateful for... you begin to notice alot more of your daily life.. Janice - do you have the book Simple Abundance? If not, I highly recommend it... a wonderful journey through the year.

I do have a copy, that illusive somewhere I bought it in a charity shop because I thought it looked interesting. My Mum died 2 years ago and I know I was grateful for having her so long and since my Dad died 15 years earlier I treasure that I got to know her so much better I was so lucky. Sopping now while I can still see the keys.

I did keep a gratitude journal for awhile and just like always - it gets forgotten too often. Perhaps it's time to start up again - I need an attitude of gratitude adjustment!
