| While I greatly admire Sarah's writings and am finding her books and teachings a great inspiration and positive help in my life, I would hesitate strongly to say I worship at her feet.
I wonder if anyone knows why that title is used on the forum? I hope that title would not keep any ladies away from using Sarah's books, teachings or website. It really is heping me to have a positive outlook on my life and I am grateful.
Anyone have any comments?

| | Jacquie - I think it's just a funny little way of saying "adore her", "admire her", etc. It wasn't meant as true worship and so far I don't think it's kept anyone from posting. |

| I think the title is supposed to be a little tongue in cheek. I certainly dont' think it will put people off looking at SBB's site or her books. Donna x |

| I do so hope you are right about the title. I'll be patient and see if any ladies put a post up.
I was just curious, is really why I pose the question. I have heard it said that following so closely someone's ideas/books etc. is "cult activity" and the title just tweeked my memory of that conversation is all.
I'll take it the comment is meant as "tongue in cheek"...no worries. Thanks for your replies too.

| Oh yes Jacquie, I do beleive it is Alison's tongue in cheek way of 'talking', that's all - don't worry.
When you read her blog entries over the years you get to know her 'tone of voice' as it were, and know she really does have a terrific sense of humour and sense of self irony, which to me makes her writing so brillliant and funny and writing that I can relate to. As Karla says, it's just her way of expressing how much she loves her books and ethos, that's all. I personally haven't posted there because I have never read a SBB book or anything, so have no opinion on her at all I'm afraid! I am tempted to take a peek though as so many of you have sung her praises. |

| I currently have Simple Abundance out from the library. It's an interesting read and some of it makes a lot of sense. But I think with this type of book, you take from it what you will, I think problems may start if you try to 'slavishly' follow it page by page. It's great reading for inspiration, but a book alone won't change your life.

| I always thought that the title was tongue in cheek...but then I'm British and can hardly utter a sentence without a bit of sarcasm or self deprivation!! _________________ Ouissi x http://ajournalofdreams.blogspot.com |

LOL, so true! Have you read "Watching The English" by Kate Fox? She suggests the English catchphrase should be "oh come off it" :-) Wandering back on topic, I agree with the others, it's just a light-hearted, effusive way of describing the fabness of SBB's writings. |

| Oh me too Ouissi, me too!!
My Mum always used to say that "sarcasm was the lowest form of wit", but I'm afraid I think it is the sharpest and funniest! |

| My dad used to say sarcasm is the "lowest form of wit, but the highest form of intelligence" ;)
I love a bit of sarciness...nothing makes me laugh more!! _________________ Ouissi x http://ajournalofdreams.blogspot.com |
